Magh Navratri 2016 - Gupt Navratri 2016
Magha Navratri in 2016 is going to be celebrated from 11th of February to 20th February. The festival of Magha Navratri is observed in the Shukla Paksha of Magha month. Hindu Magha month falls in between the months of January and February as per Gregorian calendar. Magh Navratri is known for eliminating the troubles related to material world. During Puja, Goddess Durga is worshipped for nine days with proper procedure along with the recitation of Durga Saptashati Path.

This mantra basically belongs to Goddess Kali and she is mainly considered as the Goddess of Tantric Siddhis.
Devotees also keep fasts throughout these nine days. If all nine days are not possible then they fast at least each of the 3 � 3 days of the nine day festival. The nine days are divided in 3 groups of 3 days and each group is dedicated to Goddess Kali, Goddess Lakshmi and Goddess Saraswati respectively. Devotees only have milk and fruits during fast.

Magh Navratri 2016, like evrey year, is going to be celebrated in North � Eastern states on India; including Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. It is a part of Gupt Navratri. The other Gupt Navratri are Ashadh Navratri and Paush Navratri. Amongst all the Navratras, Gupt Navratri are considered as the most powerful Navratras. Therefore, performing Puja for fulfilling desires is really fruitful. You may chant the allied mantra of Goddess Durga that best suits your requirement. It is suggestible for you to chant the mantra of the Goddess symbolizing that particular desire. For Gupt Navratri, it is believed that chanting Mantras give powerful results.
Importance of Gupt Navratri in 2016
Every region has its own method of celebrating Gupt Navratri. Gupt is a Sanskrit word, which means �secret� or �unheard�. That is why Gupt Navratri is also celebrated in silence inside homes. No occasions are organized during this time. Unlike the Pratyaksha Navratras that is Sharad Navratri and Vasant Navratri, Gupt Navratri are celebrated in a silent way with a lot of meditation and worship.
Procedure to Worship During Gupt Navratri
On day 1 of Magh Navratri in 2016, take shower early morning, preferably before sunrise. Decorate and clean the Puja � Ghar of your house. Place a red cloth inside and establish the idol of Goddess Durga, if idol is not available place her picture.
Now, set a plate with worship material � Dhoop (incense), Deep (the lamp using cotton dipped in oil or Ghee and lit to fire), colorful flowers, vermillion, bangles, Bindi, Stole and Prasad (holy food). You may also use other allied stuff to decorate your worship plate (Puja Thali). Now sprinkle Ganga Jal to each corner of your home. This will purify your house. Now, place the ignited Diya (fire lighted lamp) at your place of worship. Chant Durga Mantra for 108 times; if not possible, then at least 11 times. Recite the Durga Stotra and then sing Aarti dedicated to Goddess. Durga Chalisa can also be recited before Aarti.
Now in evening, sing the Aarti again. Perform the same procedure of worship every day. The first day ritual is a bit long because you have to establish the idol of Goddess; however procedure is same for rest of the days. All you need to keep in mind during these nine days is that your faith shouldn�t decline.
