Christmas

As per Christian Holidays 2023, Christmas is one of the most famous holidays in the world. Christians all over the world celebrate this festival of Christmas on December 25th every year. Candlemas

This festival is one of the most prominent festivals according to the Christian Holidays 2023, celebrated on February 2nd. Candlemas observed to celebrate the purification of Mother Mary after the birth of her first born, Jesus. According to the Christian beliefs, a woman is considered to be impure for forty days after giving birth to a child. Forty days later, the mother is brought to the Church where she is purified according to the Jewish rituals. Hence, Candlemas is celebrated 40 days after Christmas by lighting candles in every Church.

Epiphany

One of the most important days as mentioned in Christian Holidays 2023 and an official holiday in some countries, Epiphany is celebrated on January 6th. It is believed that Jesus Christ was baptiZed by John the Baptist on this day. This day is also observed as the birthday of Lord Jesus.

Good Friday

According to the most prevalent and popular stories in Christianity, on Good Friday, Lord Jesus was crucified. In the past, it was observed as a sad day, but with time people realized that Lord Jesus had sacrificed himself for the betterment of humankind. Since then, this day has been known and celebrated as “Good Friday” to celebrate Lord Jesus’ sacrifice.

Easter

Christians all over the world celebrate this day as the day Lord Jesus resurrected from the dead. The churches worldwide are decorated with flowers and people sing different hymns for Lord Jesus. As per the beliefs and stories, after the crucifixion, Lord Jesus was buried in a cave and the door was closed with stones. However, when some people visited the cave, they found the cave open and the tomb empty. People believed that it was a miracle of Gord.
