Kapalbhati Pranayama is a wonderful and miraculous yoga breathing exercise. It affects even those diseases which are impossible to be cured by medicines like diabetes, asthma. Kapalbhati is sanjeevani on earth. Numerous patients have gained healthy and happy life by adopting it, in their daily life.You, too, can have benefits. But, there are pre-condition.

Caution while doing Kapalbhati

Avoid Pizza/burgers and other junk foods. Avoid Pepsi, Coke and other software drinks. If you find eating such things irresistible then you can taste these at long time duration. Junk food leaves a very bad trail of fat on stomach which is very difficult to get rid of. Take light dinner.. Make sure Roti/Chapati is dry (Without Ghee).

  • Eat more fruits as they are healthy and fruits make you lose weight faster. They will also have positive glowing effect on the skin.
  • While eating take small sips of water with food. It helps in quick digestion of food.
  • Avoid eating food while watching exciting movies and TV shows as people tend to eat more.

It is a breathing exercise and anyone of any age can practice Kapalbhati Pranayama including children. But, pregnant ladies, heart patients, high blood pressure patients should avoid it.

Pregnant ladies, heart patients, high blood pressure patients and extremely weak patients should not do this.

Choosing location

Peaceful, holy river bank or garden with lush greenery. You can have abundant natural oxygen in early mornings. Place can be as per climatic conditions in different countries and regions. But, Pranayama can be practiced in peaceful, neat, clean room with healthy Oxygen coming in the room.

Right time to practice Kapalbhati

Kapalbhati can be done five hours after taking food as process of digestion is complete. Stomach is relaxed then. Patients suffering from chronic diseases are advised to practice pranayama twice a day. Avoid food for at least half an hour after Pranayama. But you can take a little amount of water.

How to practice?

Sit in any comfortable poses of asana like Padmasana or Vajrasana. If you are unable to sit on the floor due to some disease then you can sit on the chair with straight spinal cord. Never practice Pranayama in standing position.

Kapalbhati Pranayama Technique

Kapalbhati has positive influence on the organs of the abdominal area. Sit in a comfortable asana with normal breathing. Inhale normally but exhale forcefully. Try to keep the body easy and relax. Force should be very low as per the strength of the body. Ne stroke per second is very ideal.

In the beginning you can feel little pain in the abdomen and back because of new strain to the body, which disappears after some days. If you are new to this then you should try for 3 - 5 minutes per day.

Pranayama is rhythmic breathing and it is one of the most important aspects of breathing exercises. If you are able to provide oxygen to your brain and cells then everything works properly as brain commands every organ of the body.
