Muslim Festivals Calendar 2013
Muslim Calendar, also known as Islamic Calendar and Hijri Calendar is followed by the people of Muslim Community (Islamic religion) across the world. This calendar is a lunar calendar that signifies all major festivals of Muslim people. Muslims of almost all Islamic countries refer Muslim / Islamic Calendar for the dates of their festivals and other major events. Muslim Calendar includes 12 months and is 10 or 11 days shorter than Gregorian Calendar. Therefore, if seen from Gregorian point of view, the commencing date of the Muslim Calendar is never same. For Muslims, the year 2013 will begin from November 2012 (Gregorian calendar). First month of Muslim Calendar is known by the name 'Muharram'. The names of all months in Muslim calendar are in Arabic language. The Islamic / Muslim weekdays starts from sunset and end at the time of sunset of another day, which means that Muslim's New Year 2013 will begin at the evening of 14th November 2012 and end at the evening of 15th November 2012.
