Sikh-Guruparv NanakShahi Calendar
Nanakshahi Calendar is the calendar meant for Sikh community people. Sikh across world follows their Nanakshahi Calendar. Name of this calendar has been taken from the name of Guru Nanak who is the founder of Sikhism.
Sikh people celebrate some of the Hindu festivals in addition to the festivals of their own religion. The important dates of the festivals and Sikh events are determined with the help of Nanakshahi Calendar. Here is the list of main Sikh festivals according to Nanakshahi Calendar 2013.
Every year, the Sikh New Year begins on 14th March and there are 12 months in this calendar.
