The council went to a renowned sage named Lomesh, he meditated and found out the reason for the problem. As a remedy, he advised King Mahijit to observe the fast and worship Lord Vishnu, on the day of Shravana Putrada Ekadashi, with his wife. They both performed the fast with full faith and devotion and Lord Vishnu blessed them with a cute son.
The legend of Putrada Ekadasi was also narrated by Lord Krishna in Bhavishya Purana to King Yudhishthira.
